Memory of the day:
Ava asked for a treat at dinner time tonight. I agreed that if she at all of the food on her plate she could have a treat. A couple of things on her plate were not especially appeasing to her but because she wanted a treat she tried hard to choke them down. After a few minutes of some gagging and spitting out food, I took her plate away and said "enough, you are finished". She began crying and said "but can I please have a hug?" A hug? I was totally expecting her to say treat. I said "did you just ask for a hug?" She said "yes, a hug is a treat." As I hugged her she said, through the tears, "I need to go to bed, straight to head, take me to bed". Tired girl. I wish she would just take nap. Dinner time is so rough without it!
