Memory of the day:
Today, I realized how different the girls really are. Ava has always been soothed by music. In the car, I would sing to her or play CDs and she was happy. We even sang to her when she started baby food to get her to eat. Walker, on the other hand, wants nothing to do with the sound of my voice. Singing does nothing for her. She is more of a visual girl. She will cry the entire time in the car but then as soon as she sees me, or anyone really, she is happy as can be. I'm finally realizing that a lot of the techniques that worked for Ava aren't necessarily working for Walker (only took 4 months, right?). Now time to get some visual toys for Walker to keep her happy in the car.

I would suggest either a mobile over her crib so she can watch it spin and fall asleep. With Xander, we used white noise to get him to sleep.
