Baby Update - 35 Weeks

UPDATED:  Went to doctor this morning - things are good.  Back to 20% effaced (who knew).  Rest for another week to make sure we make it to at least 37 weeks.

It's been awhile since I've updated on Baby #2.  This week took an interesting turn that I wasn't expecting.  On Monday, my doctor put me on "house rest".  His words were 'we're not worried, just concerned'.  Last week I was 20% effaced and this week I am 60% effaced and having contractions.  Since it's a little too early for baby to make an appearance - he wants me to rest as much as possible!  I'm learning that is easier said than done - ha!  I go back tomorrow (Thursday) for another check.  Hopefully, there is no more progressing.

Other than that baby is doing great!  He/She is a whopping 5 and a half pounds and doing great!  There doesn't seem to be any of the growth restriction issues that I had with Ava.  He/She is still moving around like crazy and kicking mommy all.the.time!!! 

Ava has been super sweet talking about the baby.  She is always asking when the baby will come out so I tell her after Halloween.  She even told her preschool teachers that the baby was coming after Halloween.  She gives the baby (my belly) hugs and kisses all the time and tells me what she's going to do with the baby (play certain games, rock the baby, etc).  She's going to be a great big sister!!!
