Bahston

June 16-19
This is a belated Happy Birthday post for my wonderful husband!
On June 10, the young guy turned 30.
I had a feeling he would suspect a surprise party so instead I planned a surprise TRIP.
One week before his actual birthday, I told him we would be going to Boston in just 2 short weeks!
And that we did!
We left Ava with grandma and grandpa for our first trip together without her.
While we missed her A LOT, we had a great time.
Not sure what these flowers are called but LOVE them!

At the end of day one, we were both tired (can you tell?)

Red Sox vs Diamondbacks (this game was the same night as NBA finals in which the Boston Celtics were playing LA - we were expecting craziness, but Celtics lost. )

We never asked anyone to take our picture.
Probably should have - neither of us can smile normally when trying to also take the pic.

On Friday, we took the train an hour north to Rockport, Ma. It's a little quaint fishing town. So cute! This fish market was heaven to Bart. We had already eaten but he loved looking around (and note how cheap the lobster is)

This beach was in Rockport - not quite like the beaches we are used to but I guess they live up to the name Rockport.

City view from the harbor cruise.
Happy Birthday Bart!
I love you and had so much fun on our little getaway - hope you did to!
