Ava's First Trip to the Beach

The Beach Day 1

I was anxious to get Ava on the sand and see what she thought.

I figured it could go either way...she either hated the feel of it between her toes or loved it.

She was a little unsure at first (she stopped dead in her tracks as soon as she stepped onto the sand) but soon fell in love!

Her favorite was letting the water hit her feet at the edge of the water.

Although, there are no pics of the pool, Ava also had a good time there. There was a baby section of the pool that was only 1ft deep. She could walk around. Her first day at the pool resulted in 3 falls in which her face went under. No big deal to her. By day 2 she was walking in the water like a pro.

The first night we went to The Hangout for dinner. They have a huge sand pile in which Connor and Collin ran up and down many times. Luckily, it was empty (maybe only 2 other groups of people) because we went a little too late and the kids were TIRED!!! We learned our lesson and went to dinner earlier the rest of the week. Ava's bedtime is 7:30 and we didn't get to the restuarant until at least 7. She faded fast! Almost every night we were there she would just about jump out of my arms into her pack n play...she was sooooo tired. Each day she took about an hour and a half nap, when she really needed about a 3 hour nap. Too much going on to sleep!
