Ava is 14 months old

Let's see, what has Ava been up to this month...

She is getting VERY good at sign language and uses it to tell us exactly what she wants. She only knows a few signs (more, finished/all done, drink, and, umm...yes I think that's all) but she uses them in many ways to get her point across. She has also mastered the art of pointing.

We are weaning the pacifier usage and she now only uses it at nap and bed time. Not sure how we are going to completely get rid of it but I'm hoping that will happen this next month.

We are also trying to wean to one nap a day. It's not going great but we'll keep trying. She has one day with one nap and then usually needs two the next day.

Another tooth came through this month so that makes 3. Amazing what the girl can eat with only 3 teeth.

Ava loves giving kisses (especially if she wants something). She is also following simple commands and overall seems to be understanding more and more of what we say to her. She knows what a dog, cow, monkey, and sometimes pig say. She can tell you how old she is by holding up one finger (she used to hold up five fingers). We are working on identifying nose and mouth. Almost got them figured out.

She keeps us on our toes but we love every minute of it! It is so fun to see her explore and try new things!
